By Shira Sorko-Ram It is the nature of governments to deal with day-to-day problems of the state and to ignore the slowmoving but huge over-arching waves of change that make tomorrow’s world unrecognizable. If the wave coming ashore moves slowly enough, it can be ignored for a very long time. Take illegal immigration in the U.S. Once upon a time, it could have been controlled. Today, the time to find a just solution is long gone. Another wave is coming: Islam is now putting down deep roots in the United States even as it continues to make strong headway in Europe. According to Time Magazine there are already 2.5 million Muslims in the U.S., a hundred thousand more than live in Great Britain. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) claims that the real number of Muslims in the U.S. is seven million. Whatever the number, if the trend continues, Islam will very soon be a dominating force in all things American. Warning signs are evident; Islam is infiltrating Middle America. As I write this article, today the Texas education board put their foot down against history books that lionize Islam and demonize Christianity. They cited one book that mentioned Islam 27 times and Christianity once. If you want to know how Islam will evolve in the U.S., pay attention to what is happening in post-Christian Europe. Sharia law is already in force in some areas of Great Britain. Literally thousands of Muslims block off streets and thoroughfares in France for their prayers five times a day, and authorities do nothing. One of the most insidious ways Muslims are forcing their culture on Americans is to use the democratic court system to gag criticism of their activities and advance their Islamic agenda. Violence is a fundamental ingredient of the spirit of Islam. Yet not understanding the warning signs, the present American administration continues to be perplexed over the motives of a string of Islamic terrorists who have targeted the U.S. In just this year alone, a number of Islamic terror attacks have been attempted – and mercifully failed – by the Muslim Christmas bomber on a plane and the Muslim Time Square bomber in New York City. The successful Islamic terrorist attack by a Muslim psychiatrist accused of massacring 13 American soldiers and injuring 30 at Ft. Hood, again has left Attorney General Eric Holder baffled. And a year ago last summer, do we remember that a Muslim shot and killed a soldier and wounded another in Arkansas? Indeed, no one in President Barack Obama’s government has been able to come up with a reasonable motive for perpetrating such mayhem. In fact, in all acts of Islamic terrorism, the present administration has condemned labeling them as resulting from radical Islam. “ONLY TEN PERCENT OF MUSLIMS ARE RADICALIZED”It is often said that only about 10% of the Muslim peoples are extremists while and all the rest are peace-loving. Since there are close to one and a half billion Muslims, that means there are only 150,000,000 Muslims prone to terrorism. So why are Americans, and even Jewish Americans, so blind to Islamic terrorism? Why do they insist that America is not at war with Islam? Daniel Gordis, senior vice president of the Shalem Center in Jerusalem, sums it up this way. “Life in our region has taught us that the first necessary step to defending yourself is acknowledging that someone else is out to destroy you.” (http://danielgordis.org) Daniel, as a Jewish child growing up in a well-educated, politically liberal community in the U.S. learned that Jewish people didn’t talk about the “enemy.” Enemy, he said, was a dirty word. Enemies existed just because things had not yet arrived at a fair resolution of the conflict. If people could only understand the other side’s problems, then the two parties could resolve the conflicts that divided them. When Gordis moved to Israel, he was jarred by the way Israelis use the word “enemy.” Not in an accusing way, but simply as a fact. In Israel he said he learned from the deadly Intifada which started in the year 2000 that “Arab Muslims were not yearning for our understanding or our friendship.” They wanted our demise. (Ibid.) Indeed Israeli Jews are extremely aware of the theology, ideology and motives of Islamic extremists. Not because they want to be, but because they face extinction every day of every year by Shia, Sunni and every other variety of Islamic radicals.
His advice to America comes from his experience in Israel: It is fine to say that America is not at war with Islam, or that most Moslems are not terrorists, and that many Muslims are law-abiding citizens. But this misses the tragic Truth with a capital T – that America is at war and its enemies are Muslims. Obama doesn’t really understand the who and the why of the battle and what it will take to win. He has sent 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan, but he has also said he is pulling them out in one year. Gordis asks, what if FDR, when declaring war on Nazi Germany, had said he was pulling American troops out in one year? The enemy would have laughed and plainly, America would have lost that war. “The U.S. has to decide – is it committed to destroying those who wish it ill, or is it willing to be destroyed by them? Those, sadly, are its only two alternatives.” (Ibid.) Islam seeks to unite the world under Islam, eradicating America’s way of life with its freedoms, and replace it with Sharia morality and law – which includes the degradation of women and stoning and amputating as punishment. It also means an end to freedom of religion outside of Islam. If Americans understand the following, then there is hope for their survival. THE GOAL OF MOSQUE-PLANTINGIslam is imperialistic by nature. Its eye is on every single country in the world; all methods – from deception to the sword – are fair in its mission and destiny to rule the world. Through the ages, a pattern has emerged each time Islam takes possession of what it considers key areas. They build a mosque. Why did Muslims build the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem on the very spot where the Jewish Temple in which Jesus taught had once existed? In Cordoba, Spain, as the Muslim conquest of Spain was in full swing, the Christian church in Cordoba was converted into a mosque and remained a mosque until the Spanish reconquered their entire peninsula. In Constantinople, the great Cathedral of that city served the Christian city for over a 1,000 years. When the Ottoman Turks took the city by the sword, they converted the beautiful Hagia Sophia Cathedral into a mosque. It is the ultimate Islamic symbol of spiritual and physical conquest. It is extremely doubtful that the location of the Ground Zero mosque will ever be surrendered voluntarily. That would go against Islam’s deepest theological objectives. How critical it is that Americans not be lulled into thinking that Muslims fight only with the sword. Muslims are using western democratic institutions to intimidate non-Muslims and increase Islamic dominance. Israel has well learned that Muslims will use the weaknesses of democratic rule in every possible way.
Israeli Knesset Member Haneen Zoabi, a young attractive Muslim woman of Israel’s parliament, joined the Turkish flotilla that was trying to break Israel’s blockade against Hamas terrorists in Gaza a few months ago. She lied repeatedly to the world media that she wasn’t really working with the terrorists and she reported that she saw absolutely no violence whatsoever perpetrated by the activists - until a video was posted showing her right in the middle of the chaos, taunting and jeering the Israeli soldiers aboard the ship. She has since gone to testify before the U.N. Human Rights Commission’s investigative committee, and says she plans to demand that the U.N. committee summon Israel’s prime minister and defense minister for their “war crimes and pirate seizure” of the “Freedom Flotilla.” She plans to ask that Israeli leaders stand trial in an international court – and so the madness continues. For those of us who understand the spiritual implications of this global movement, we must remember that the goal of the Gospel of Redemption found in the Old and New Testaments is to conquer the world for the Lord God of Israel and His Son Yeshua the Messiah. However, every true believer knows that this battle is won through prayer and labor bathed in love and compassion for the lost. Whereas the methodology of Islam is conquering by force, threats, intimidation, lies and death. Today’s battle lies between two great spiritual forces - Jehovah God, the God of love and forgiveness - and Allah. But you can’t fight an enemy you don’t know exists. Why the Peaceful Majority is IrrelevantBy Paul Marek For all our powers of reason we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points. Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by the fanatics. I used to know a man whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War II. They owned a number of large industries and estates. I asked him how many German people were true Nazis, and the answer he gave has stuck with me and guided my attitude toward fanaticism ever since. “Very few people were true Nazis,” he said, “but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of the world had come. My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.” We are told again and again by “experts” and “talking heads” that Islam is the religion of peace, and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unquantified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam. The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honor-kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. The hard quantifiable fact is that the “peaceful majority” is the “silent majority” and it is cowed and extraneous. Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. China’s huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people. The average Japanese individual prior to World War II was not a warmongering sadist. Yet Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic killing of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet. And who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were “peace loving?” History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points.
