Persecution is on the rise. As the number of Israelis turning to their Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) increases, the need for legal representation has also escalated. Messianic believers in Israel have been severely persecuted, mainly by ultra-Orthodox organizations whose acts of violence and legal harassment in the last few years are meant to intimidate and suppress the free practice of faith in Yeshua the Messiah.
Maoz has been involved in helping persecuted believers in Israel virtually since our establishment. Many times we’ve written in our monthly Maoz Israel Report about the victims of persecution—such as Ami Ortiz, Israel and Pnina Comforti and believers in Arad and Beer Sheva. Their rights to worship and practice their faith in freedom have been severely violated.
Several cases taken to court by believers in Israel are still pending, and istandwithisrael.com is committed to help these families suffering because of their faith. Israel, as a democratic state, promises freedom of religion as a core value.

You can help Israeli believers in their struggle to combat the clear violations of civil rights and freedom of religion in Israel.
The basic right of freedom of religion was included in Israel’s proclamation of independence on May 14, 1948, when Israel’s first president, David Ben Gurion, declared: “The State of Israel will be based on freedom, justice and peace, as envisaged by the prophets of Israel; it will ensure complete equality of social and political rights to all its inhabitants irrespective of religion, race or sex; it will guarantee freedom of religion, conscience, language, education and culture; it will safeguard the Holy Places of all religions, and it will be faithful to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations.”
